Aims of this web site

Aims of this web site include, but are not limited to:–
  • To serve as a means of proclaiming the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and of supporting the Christian Brethren Assemblies in that same task.
  • To inform people about the NSW Christian Brethren Assemblies and provide information about the many related Christian Brethren organisations and ministries - sometimes called 'para-assembly' organisations.
  • To help foster a sense of unity in spirit and purpose amongst the Christian Brethren in NSW, and beyond, in order that we might better co-operate to serve and honour God.
  • To act as an 'entry point' (or 'portal') to NSW assemblies and para-assembly organisations and ministries and their web sites (where these exist). This will be a growing area of the web site as more Christian Brethren use the World Wide Web and the Internet for the Lord's work.
  • To provide some FREE web space for any Christian Brethren organisation wishing to 'experiment' with using the web, and to do this until the organisation might feel the need to have its own separate web site, at which time a link to their new site will be provided.
    • In that context, the NSW Assemblies Evangelistic Mission is an example of such an organisation and so its aims, function, modus operandi, Board, etc will be included in the "AEM" section of this web site, as will details of each of its sub-committees, including:-
        • Outreach Book Service
        • the Assemblies Outreach Magazine
        • NSW Home Workers Treasurers
        • NSW Home Workers Advisory Council
  • To provide Links to other Assembly web sites in Australia and overseas.
  • To provide Links to other Christian web sites including, resource sites such as Bible translations, concordances, and Bible dictionaries.
  • To register those who would like to receive regular news and prayer points (via e-mail) about a number of topics including the individual NSW Home Workers. This feature is considered part of security features which will be included to avoid difficulties if sensitive or personal information were to be easily accessible to those who might want to undermine the work of Jesus Christ.
  • To register those who may like to receive an electronic copy of the Outreach magazine (probably in PDF format) via e-mail for a small annual charge.
  • To provide a current Notice Board and a list of Coming Events for NSW assembly activities.
  • To provide a possible forum for discussion and help on Internet issues and other technology issues being used by assemblies.
  • To be a web site of relatively high quality in design, function and content. Some web site design aims and issues are listed HERE.
