Assemblies Outreach Magazine - Aims
The Assemblies Outreach magazine is one means to help achieve the aims of the NSW-AEM and to help stimulate and sustain interest in these aims amongst the NSW Christian Brethren Assemblies. It exists solely for this purpose.
Thus, the Editorial Team of the magazine aim:-
To regularly bring before the assembly members each of the names of the NSW Home Workers who have been commended by their assemblies, and who look to God for their direction and guidance and the supply of all their needs.
To publish letters, prayer points, and other material from or about these Home Workers to acquaint assemblies with their work and to stimulate active fellowship by prayer and financial support.
To publish reports on NSW assembly activities and those of the various para-assembly organisations, in order to encourage the saints and stimulate prayer for one another.
To advertise, and subsequently report upon, specific events such as evangelistic crusades, camps, seminars and the like.
To encourage interest in the NSW-AEM activities and, in particular, to encourage trading and investment in the Mission Book Service.
To provide a forum for the interchange of ideas via 'Letters to the Editor'.
To provide space for paid advertising by Assembly organisations and individuals.
To provide something of interest, preferably in each issue, for every member of assembly families from the youngest reader to the oldest.
If space permits, to publish a limited range of articles of general interest for the edification of believers, preferably written by well known and respected teachers from the Australian Assemblies.
To achieve these aims in a cost-effective manner and not be a drain on Mission finances.
In general, the publishing of controversial material is to be avoided, since the Mission does not have a charter to determine or judge policy or doctrine for individual assemblies, which we believe should be autonomous.
