The Assemblies Outreach Magazine has been published by the Mission on behalf of the NSW Assemblies since November 1964. At first it was a monthly publication, with the sub-title "Crusaders" and has undergone a number of changes in format over the years. In recent years it has been sub-titled "Striving Together" and has been issued six times each year – in February, April, June, August, October and December. It is usually self funding – being paid for by advertising revenue and annual subscriptions from assemblies and individuals.
In 2003 the format was changed to include some colour, and became 32 pages in the smaller A5 format. Although at first this represented a financial challenge, the new format - particularly the colour printing, led to a reversal of the gradual declining subscription trend over recent years.
From February 2005, the proportion of full colour pages was increased to 50% and since mid 2007 the whole magazine has been printed in full colour, which has proved popular with the readership.
